The Bean statue in Chicago
The “Bean” is a great tourist attraction in Chicago.

Longing for that “perfect” vacation trip, but not quite sure how to go about it? Or where to go? Well, the 2018 Chicago Travel and Adventure Show can help you gather information or talk with travel professionals to help solidify those plans.

The 14th annual travel show takes place Feb. 10-11 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont. Saturday’s show runs 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday. Ticket information can be obtained here.

Attendees can rub elbows with some of the best-known celebrities in the travel field – Pauline Frommer of “Frommer’s Travel Guides,” Rick Steves of “Rick Steves’ Europe,” television personality Samantha Brown of PBS’ “Places to Love,” and wellness travel expert Ann Dimon.

The travel show offers visitors five “theaters” on the exhibition floor. From learning the best packing practices and visiting great global attractions to sampling cuisine from around the world by chefs cooking onsite, the show offers a global experience. In addition, the travel show will feature about 20 cultural dances and music programs.

New to the Chicago show is the wellness pavilion, which will feature health-focused travel services and products, as well as news and trends, led by Dimon.

In addition to the vendors and travel professionals available to share all kinds of travel information, visitors can participate in activities fun for the entire family. Activities include having pictures taken in their favorite destination at the Green Screen experience, scuba dive in a dive pool or ride a camel. People can also enter an opportunity to win a week-long vacation sponsored by AAA.
