Giveaway – Robin Hood @Rose Theater – Merry good time and great cause!!
Want to know a good place to take your kids for a good time and be able to donate to a great cause all at the same time? Come to the Rose Theater from Oct. 11-27 and join Robin Hood’s merry band. You can also help tip the scales for Robin Hood by bringing some canned/boxed goods for the Open Door Mission.
Yesterday I was lucky enough to be invited to a sneak peek of “Robin Hood” at The Rose Theater. In the audience was also a couple of school classes with excited kids. They were very engaged in the interactive participation spread throughout the approximately hour performance. Get there early enough to witness the actors mingling with the audience in character setting the tone for this adventure in Sherwood Forest.
The show is of course recommended for kids (for this one recommended for ages 5-11). However, I thoroughly enjoyed myself even though I didn’t bring any kids with me. The living and evolving stage, very creative makeup of the staging, the costumes, and the four actors who played 2-3 characters each were enough to keep this “big” kid engaged as much as the kids.
Guess what? Want a chance to check out the show yourself? I have 4 tickets for you! The play runs Oct. 11 -27 with performances on Fridays at 7 p.m., Saturdays at 2 and 5 p.m., and on Sundays at 2 pm. These tickets are good for any performance! Reservations are required.
