Hampton Inn offers comfortable stay in Kearney
Hampton Inn in Kearney, Nebraska, is new to the area, but already looks like it will be popular with visitors.
We stayed at the hotel during a recent trip to central Nebraska. The hotel was hosting several youth basketball teams, since the city was hosting a large tournament.
The neat thing about the hotel was that our floor was very quiet. The front desk staff advised us that it could be noisy with all the kids running around. We did have a bunch of families on our floor, but once we closed the room door, we didn’t hear anything. That was nice.
The hotel itself is obviously super clean since it is relatively new.
The lobby is large and open. The breakfast room is nearby. Breakfast itself was nice. We went to breakfast later in the morning with about 45 minutes to spare before they stopped serving. We, unfortunately, missed out on some of the better options. But, they were putting fresh food out, just not as much.
You can get the standard continental breakfast fixings – toast, bagels, waffles, fruit, cereal, etc. but, you have hot item choices, too. Eggs and potatoes were available.
The swimming pool and whirlpool are indoors.
The fitness center is open 24 hours.
All locations required a room card for access.
The cool thing about the room cards is you just flash in front of your door lock and it opens. You don’t have to insert the card into the door. Nice.
The room was nice. We had a nice sized bed. It was comfy. The room had a sofa, chair and desk area. The flat screen TV was nice to watch.
We found the Hampton Inn a pleasant stay and would stay again. I would recommend it as a hotel to stay at in Kearney.
