Tampa Air BNB was the right choice for us

Air BNB

We have become fans of Air BNBs. People rent out rooms in their homes to travelers. Our visit to Tampa was the second occasion of our using Air BNB.

Air BNBs differ from regular Bed and Breakfast inns in that Air BNBs are homes, not actual businesses. B&Bs are businesses that cater to travelers.

Our Air BNB in Tampa was beautiful. The Tampa River House owners treated us like longtime friends. Jeff and George were very outgoing and friendly. They have two dogs and a few feathered friends, so we had plenty of opportunity to get to know everyone.

The house is situated a few feet from the Hillsborough River in the up-and-coming area of Seminole Heights. The river was beautiful. We heard a bird along the river calling out each morning and evening.

The house was exceptionally laid out and decorated.

We had a room on the second level with a private bath. The room was comfortable.

We liked the balcony. We could check out the swimming pool, as well as take in a view of the neighborhood.

The hosts offer breakfast daily – a choice of eggs and bacon (turkey), cereal or yogurt. Breakfast was a great time to socialize. We met other guests, and we all discussed our activities and plans.

Air BNB

The house is centrally located to attractions. We were about a 10-minute drive from the Lowry Park Zoo. The house is about 10 minutes from downtown Tampa. It is within five miles of Busch Gardens.

Jeff and George are very detailed about staying there. It starts with a welcome e-mail upfront after the reservation is confirmed. They provide updates throughout the process. Once you’re there, they have information on attractions and restaurants.

Each guest is given their security code for the house, so you can come and go as you choose. That came in handy as each evening we finished our tours late. Plus, the day we left we had to be at the airport before anyone in the houses needed to wake up.

The Air BNB is good for long-term stays, as well. They mentioned some visitors were coming for a few weeks. They have laundry facilities people can use.

They have an outdoor pool, hot tub, and a patio where guests can relax and take in the atmosphere.

We recommend using Air BNBs for vacations, and definitely the Tampa River House when in the area.
