Omaha and Lincoln to pour another cup of Caffeine Crawl July 27-28

Just one more sip. Or another. People taking part in Caffeine Crawl 2018 will have an option to visit at least five coffee houses on one of six routes over two days in Omaha and Lincoln. The July 27-28 event marks the fourth trip to the area for the Caffeine Crawl team. We took part in the crawl three years ago.

The event will feature two routes in Lincoln and four in Omaha. Routes one and two will take place in Lincoln and Omaha July 27.

Route One will feature Lincoln locations Green Leaf Tea Co., Meta Coffee Lab, Crescent Moon Coffee, The Coffee House and Methods Cycles and Craft House. The 12 ½-mile self-driving route begins at 10 a.m. at Green Leaf Tea and runs about 3 ½ hours.

Route Two in Omaha features Hardy Coffee Company in Benson, Omaha Bicycle Club, Dundee Double Shot, MugLife Coffee and Well Grounded. The five-mile self-driving route begins at Hardy at 3:30 p.m. and lasts three hours. Participants can also ride their bicycles on this route.

Saturday coffee

Saturday’s events start at 9:30 a.m. at Hardy Coffee’s new location at 2112 N. 30th Street. Route Three takes coffee fans to five more locations and ends at 1:15 p.m. Other coffee houses on this route are Culprit Café in Midtown, MugLife Coffee, Well Grounded, Archetype Coffee in the new Little Bohemia district and Sozo Coffeehouse. This is a self-driving route. Bicyclists are welcome to ride a challenging route.

Route Four kicks off at 10:30 a.m. and covers five stops in three hours over the self-driving route. Starting at Hardy Coffee Company at the 30th Street location, additional stops include Dundee Double Shot, Zen Coffee, Well Grounded and Archetype Coffee at Little Bohemia.

Route Five meets at MugLife Coffee at 12:30 p.m. The self-driving route covers five more locations in 3.5 hours. Participants will sample drinks at Dundee Double Shot, Culprit Café at Midtown, Zen Coffeehouse, Sozo Coffeehouse and conclude at Hardy Coffee Company in the Old Market.

Lincoln is the site for Route Six. Beginning at 1 p.m., participants will visit five spots over a three-hour period. The self-driving route starts at Mill Coffee and Tea and includes stops at Crescent Moon Coffee, The Coffee House, Methods Cycles and Craft House and The Bay. People can also bicycle along the route.
