Americinn gives lodge feel, comfortable stay

AmericInn

We stayed at our first Americinn Lodge and Suites during our recent trip to Hampton, Iowa.

We were impressed with the hotel. It has a lodge theme. Though, it doesn’t carry over to the rooms.

The 41-room (suites included) hotel has an average score of 4.5 (out of 5) on Trip Advisor. The hotel’s cleanliness and professional and friendly staff have contributed to the strong rating.

AmericInn Hampton

A wooden bear sculpture welcomes guests to the hotel. The lobby is decorated with a north woods feel. A canoe stands upright against a post. Inside is a pine tree diorama.

AmericInn Lodge and Suites

Guests can relax on leather chairs and sofa in front of the fire place. A work center is located in the lobby area, near the fireplace.

AmericInn lobby

The room was excellent. It had two beds and a work desk. It was spacious. The pillows were comfortable so that made for a nice peaceful sleep. The rooms allow for quieter stay with Americinn’s SoundGuard.

AmericInn standard room

The hotel offers complimentary breakfast. Guests can choose from the basic continental-style with bagels, yogurt, cereal and toast or they have a hot meal with items such as bacon, eggs, biscuits and gravy and waffles. The breakfast was excellent.

AmericInn waffles

The hotel has an indoor heated swimming pool and hot tub. An exercise facility is located nearby.

The hotel is centrally located in Hampton. It’s a few blocks from attractions, such as the county museum, and downtown. The Honkn Hollar café is across the street, as is a Godfather’s Pizza. Otherwise, several places are within walking distance or a short drive.

I can see staying here on future trips. We recommend the Americinn when in Hampton.
