Condo gives us view of marina, Clear Lake
Our stay in Clear Lake came with a nautical theme. Not only did we have a view of a marina and the lake from our balcony, we had a “beach view” in our condo.
The condo we stayed in – courtesy of Clear Lake Vacation Rental – had a beach theme. From the lime green painting on the dining room walls to the fish hanging along the entry way, the condo gave the feel of being at a resort. Which is a good thing, since the North Iowa community is a resort area. It didn’t hurt that we also had a view of the marina and Clear Lake.
We loved our accommodations. The dining area was comfortable for working on the laptop each night.
The table decoration was cool – a vase with colorful sandals in it.
The walls had palm tree decorations, along with a salamander.
The kitchen is small, but spacious enough for two people to move around in. It has a breakfast counter with high chairs along the entry way. It has a full-sized stove and refrigerator.
Fish hang from the entry way’s wall.
The living room was truly impressive. It was spacious. It has two sofas, and ottoman and a nice flat screen TV. The condo has local cable, so you can check out sports, shows – anything you may want to watch. We enjoyed putting our feet up and unwinding each evening. We found a neat network showing old police and war shows – such as “Hill Street Blues,” “NYPD Blue” and “Combat.” I asked Lisa if she could lobby her employer to add the Heroes and Icons network to our line-up.
The balcony on the third floor unit runs the length of the living room and master bedroom. Each room has its own exit to the balcony. The balcony has chairs, tables and a grill.
Just above the living room is a loft. It can sleep 3-4 people with two futons.
The condo comes with a second bedroom, as well. The condo can sleep up to eight people, says Sonja, the owner. She and her husband own two house rentals in addition to the condo.
A second bedroom is just off the dining room area. A decently-sized bathroom separates the two bedrooms, with entrances from both directions.
Clear Lake Vacation Rentals supplies bed linens and bath towels, as well as starter supplies for some toiletries. Guests need to bring their own personal toiletries, such as soap and shampoo.
We enjoyed our stay and are interested in booking it for a future visit. We recommend checking out Clear Lake Vacation Rental when visiting the area.
