Frozen the Musical Comes to the Orpheum in Omaha

Disclosure: Tickets to “Frozen the Musical” are being provided by Biz Chica and Disney to create and post this content. However, all opinions are my own.

I know it’s officially spring and we shouldn’t be thinking of a cold land far away; however, when “Frozen – The Musical” comes to town, you prepare yourself for a journey with old friends to rediscover the land of Arendelle. The 2013 animated movie has become a popular Broadway production. Today, the show is part of the Omaha Performing Arts ‘Broadway series. The beloved Disney characters will entertain fans at the Orpheum Theater from April 19-30.

I’m very excited to have a girls’ night out to see “Frozen – The Musical” for the opening night at the Orpheum on Wednesday. We are pretty sure that we’ll be singing our way out the door and smiling from ear to ear as we relive what we watched and heard on stage. Disney knows how to bring joy and magic to the stage. The last Disney musical we saw was “The Lion King,” which was mesmerizing, as the characters came to life through actors interacting with life-size puppets. Telling the story of sisters Elsa and Anna and their sidekick Olaf, a snowman, the musical features life-size puppets of Olaf, Sven and other characters.

While “Frozen” may have been a favorite among children, the story also resonates with adults. You don’t need a child to attend the Orpheum production; however, it is recommended for ages 8 years and older.

The musical includes outstanding special effects and features a mix of new and favorite songs. Theater-goers will want to sing along, as well as enjoy the dances.
