We are not ones to normally be in front of the camera. We prefer to be behind the camera taking photos. However, two things rule that out in this case: First, we did promise to show the results of our session with local Omaha photographer Kitty Vogt. Second, we loved how these photos turned out.
We met her Saturday afternoon in the Old Market in Omaha. From there, we found nooks and crannies that led to fantastic backdrops for our session. She immediately put us at ease, asking for our suggestions and making sure we were comfortable with various poses. We chatted in-between finding the next location. None of the poses seemed to be unnatural or forced.
In this digital age when you can see the results immediately on the screen of your camera, not being able to see how these were turning out was torture. We asked Kitty how long these would take to get back. She stated to give her about a week to a week-and-a-half. We thought this was reasonable. We were surprised that we got them back the next afternoon. Of course, this may not happen in every case.
