Scenic Tours offers travelers great European river cruises

Imagine seeing Europe on a river cruise.

Castles, river cities and villages line the route on your floating hotel.

I remember taking a couple of river cruises when I was assigned to Germany during my Air Force days. The memories are amazing. Seeing centuries old castles atop the bluffs along rivers. Spending time in Bernkastel, Germany, was one of my favorite memories.

I would love to visit Europe again and take advantage of the scenery that river cruises can offer.
One such company that offers river cruises is Scenic Tours. It offers a variety of tour lengths, from 8 days to 23 days. I know there are several companies that offer cruises, but I like the choices and ALL the amenities that  Scenic Tours offers.

My FIVE top reasons to take a river cruise with this company:

1. The destinations. You can start tours in a variety of locations – Amsterdam, Paris, Munich, Budapest and Bucharest, as well as others.

2. Scenery along the route. Ever see the movie “In Bruges?” Well, we are real movie buffs, so to be able to see the sites we saw in this movie up close  would be magical.  When I saw that this city was among the stops during an 8-day river cruise, I thought that would be one I’d love to go on. Included in this stop is a walking tour of this quaint town.  We are not called the walking tourists for nothing.  The scenery of the city looked breathtaking.

3. The photo opps.  I live to take not pictures, but photos.  Europe provides such rich history and Scenic Tours would allow us to get up and close with the history and culture of it all with their shore tours.  Instead of signing up for a bus tour, a river cruise offers beautiful scenery throughout the trip (in my view). River bluffs, trees, castles and riverside towns can be seen throughout.  That is just when you are on the cruise itself.  Imagine getting off and actually seeing a castle or palace up close on one of their guided tours and get immersed in the local culture.  This is what Scenic Tours offers.

4. Someone else does the driving. As someone who enjoys driving on vacations, I do appreciate the opportunity a river cruise offers in letting someone else drive while I enjoy the scenery AND the butler service.  (see reason #5)

AND…I have saved the best for last…

6. This is LUXURY travel.  This is not your run of the mill river cruise that you might think of.  This is not a dinner cruise on the Mississippi (although those are fun too).  These are multi-night all-inclusive cruises with a comfortable state room, and butler service.

FIVE reasons that I think a river cruise would be a good travel choice. Aren’t you ready to come with us?  Find out more information at http://us.scenictours.com/
