The Parkway Hotel offers central location for St. Louis visits
Located minutes from several of St. Louis’ most popular attractions, the Parkway Hotel offers guests a quality stay at a central location.
We enjoyed visiting the Parkway during a recent St. Louis trip. Our room – suite is more like it – was very comfortable and spacious.
The living area included a sofa, which could be used as a second bed, as it rolled out to a sofa bed.
The workspace in the room was more than ample. I was able to have a camera, camera bag and laptop on the desk with plenty of room between them. Unfortunately, we experienced an issue with internet access, but the front desk was aware of it, and the staff rebooted the service.
The bed was very comfortable. It wasn’t hard or too soft. Goldilocks would have given it two thumbs up.
The Parkway Hotel staff, as previously noted on the internet issue, is very professional and friendly. They are quick to help guests, as needed.
The Parkway Hotel offers a breakfast buffet, featuring hot and cold choices. The hot items included biscuits and gravy, eggs, and sausage. Cereal, bagels and pastries were included with the cold items. The dining area is in the lobby and has plenty of room for guests to enjoy their meal.
An independent, the Parkway Hotel was built in 2003 and has 217 rooms and suites. It’s located about a block from Forest Park, which is home to some of the city’s major attractions – St. Louis Zoo, Missouri History Museum, Art Museum and much more. The St. Louis Science Center is a short drive from the hotel.
The Loop entertainment district is about a 15-minute drive from The Parkway. It features the St. Louis Walk of Fame highlighting native celebrities and public figures. It’s home to Chuck Berry’s Blueberry Hill restaurant. You can also grab dinner and a root beer float at the famous Fitz’s.
The Parkway Hotel offers free popcorn and freshly baked cookies each afternoon in the lobby. Hot coffee and whole fruit are available in the lobby 24 hours a day.
Applebee’s restaurant is located on property, and offers both in-restaurant dining and room service.
The Parkway is located adjacent to Barnes Jewish Hospital, with a skywalk attached between the buildings. This is a great place for people to stay if they have business with the hospital.
Parking is available in a secured lot for $7/day. It has easy access off Forest Park Avenue.
We suggest considering staying at The Parkway Hotel for St. Louis trips.
