Legoland Kansas City Update + Giveaway
Yesterday we shared about our recent visit to Legoland Discovery Center in Kansas City. If you missed it, check it out here. Legos are enjoyed by kids of all ages and we were there there for their Adults Only event. Their big focus is around kids and next time we might have to just borrow one to get in.
When Lego introduced Lego Friends in 2012, I was excited. Up until that time most of the legos building sets and items were more geared toward the boys. I went out and got my niece one of the sets. Now Legoland Kansas City is highlighting the Lego Friends by renovating one of their Lego Friends play area. Read more below:
From Legoland Discovery Center Kansas City Press Release:
Kansas City, Missouri (November 6, 2013) – LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Kansas City announced today it is receiving its first renovation since the grand opening in April 2012. The LEGO® Friends play area will be completely redesigned, adding more hands-on build activities for LEGO fans.
Due to the success of the new LEGO Friends line, Merlin Entertainments, the parent company of LEGOLAND Discovery Center Kansas City, decided it was time to engage the new LEGO fan base by revamping the LEGO Friends play area. The new LEGO Friends area will include Olivia’s House, complete with a kitchen, living room and garden. Inside each room will house different LEGO building areas where guests can design their favorite LEGO Friends homes, gardens, pastries, and more.
The redesigned LEGO Friends area will be complete and unveiled to the public on Saturday, November 16th, 2013.
“We look forward to engaging the new LEGO Friends fan base in the new play area,” says Mendy Rose, marketing manager of LEGOLAND Discovery Center Kansas City. “We always look for ways to improve our attractions, and the new LEGO Friends area is the first of many to come.”
