Kansas City BBQ and Culture Giveaway Package

We are big fans of Kansas City.  We’ve visited the city several times as it’s a short 3-hour drive Omaha.The neat thing about the Fountain City is that we can find something new to do on almost every visit.

In the past year we made ourt first jaunt to City Market where we found spices sold in bulk and pimento cheese. Our eldest daughter now requests us to make a special stop for these items when we are in the area.

Another new site we visited was the Steamboat Arabia museum which is a real treasure, literally.  The museum is located at the City Market.

Another first that we made it to about a year ago was LegoLand Discovery Center, which made us feel like kids again even though it was Adults Only night.  Right next door is SeaLife Aquarium in Crown Center, which has great sealife exhibits. Our favorite was the ray pool.

We have also visited some of the great museums. We’ve viewed several great exhibits at Union Station.  Right across the street from Union Station is a very well done museum in the World War I Museum.

Museums in the 18th and Vine District are among our favorite, including American Jazz museum and one of Tim’s favorites the Negro League Baseball Museum.

We can’t talk about Kansas City without mentioning the fantastic food options. From BBQ options at Jack Stack BBQ, Oklahoma Joes, and Arthur Bryants (and that’s just to name a few) to fine dining in an old schoolhouse at Webster House or eating amongst sports memorabilia at Chappell’s. There are so many dining options to choose from.
